• Payment data: Subscription and billing information processed by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers; our payment processor handles all payment data under PCI DSS compliance.
• Content data: Story prompts, generated text, audio, images, and other content you create or save on the platform.
• Device data: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers for security and analytics purposes.

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• To authenticate your identity and secure your account
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To generate AI stories, narrations, and images based on your inputs

Content you submit for AI generation (e.g., prompts, story text) is sent to our AI providers to generate your content. How those providers handle or use API data is governed by their respective privacy policies and terms of service.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes (such as advertising or data brokering).

To operate the Service, we use service providers that process personal data only on our behalf, under our instructions, and under contract. They do not use your data for their own purposes. These include providers for:

• Cloud storage (e.g., for audio, images, and generated assets)
• AI and voice synthesis (text, image, and narration generation)
• Payment processing
• Product analytics (anonymized where possible)

StoryMaker.Space is a family-friendly platform designed to be used by all ages. However, the Service is intended to be operated by users 13 years of age or older. Children under 13 should only use the Service under direct parental supervision.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at privacy@storymaker.space and we will delete it promptly.

Note for parents: We recommend that children under 13 use the platform through a parent's account. We are actively developing family account features to provide better controls.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Certain data may be retained longer where required by law or legitimate business interests (e.g., billing records for tax purposes).

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

We use localStorage and sessionStorage for app state only (e.g., preferences, redirect URLs), not for third-party advertising.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you by email or a prominent notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
